I don’t know about you, but I think the first thing that I did after moving into my new house was to make the walls and the ceiling the same height. I had heard the other day that the majority of a new home owner’s first action is to make the walls and ceiling the same height. This is certainly a common practice among the new homeowners that we do business with.
This practice is not as common, but it can actually be used to make your home more beautiful when you’re first moving in. The reason is that the more the walls and ceiling are parallel, the less likely they are to be covered by layers of paint and paint can hide imperfections. You can also use this same principle to make your home seem taller, which can help you feel more at home while you’re in your new home.
I say this because in my personal experience when I’ve designed interior walls, I’ve found it is better to be at least a few degrees off from perpendicular (like a wall that’s 10 feet tall but also 10 feet away from perpendicular).

It’s not the same as paint and you will waste a lot of time and money trying to get it off.
